Who We Are
Ministry Cyber Professionals delivers certified cybersecurity services to churches, ministries, nonprofits and “binistries” (businesses serving churches and ministries). Our team members have cyber security credentials, extensive experience, and expertise in cybersecurity and ministry. We serve by offering our partners cybersecurity services at a fraction of the cost they would pay to similar companies with similar credentials to perform similar services.

Johnathan Barnes
FOUNDER, CEO
Johnathan serves as Chief Ministry Cyber Professional (MCP). He is a cybersecurity subject matter expert and holds the following cybersecurity certifications: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Certified Information Security Manager, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Johnathan is the Executive Director of Virtual Ministry Assistants, a consultant with Ministry Architects, and adjunct cybersecurity instructor for Augusta Tech Cyber Institute located at the Georgia Cyber Center.
Johnathan began working in ministry in 2000 as a youth volunteer at Scott AFB chapel while serving as an Air Force officer. He has served on a church staff as an executive pastor, youth pastor, children’s pastor, college pastor, and virtual (online and streaming ministry) pastor. He has also overseen prison, outreach, and mission ministries.
Johnathan graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He also earned a Masters in Educational Ministries and a Masters in Religions and Cultures from Covenant Theological Seminary and coached Certificate in Youth and Theology students for Princeton Theological Seminary.
Johnathan loves the fact that he is able to serve in his two passions; ministry and cyber.
